Setting Time Code

  1. PRESS P 1 (HOME) Button
  2. PRESS P 2 (TC) Button
  3. Make Sure F 1 (TCG SRC) is set to INTERNAL
  4. Make Sure F 2 (TCG Mode) is Set to PRESET
  5. PRESS P 1 (HOME) Button
  6. Make Sure F 8 (COUNTER) is Set to TC
  7. PRESS F 10 to (TCG SET)
  8. Use F 1 & F 2 to Select Hours, Minutes, Seconds, Frames
  9. PRESS F 3 & F 4 to Select TC Number for each
  10. When TC is Selected, Press F 9 to Set
  11. PRESS REC Button to Confirm TC is Set Correctly

Setting Black

  1. PRESS P 1 (HOME) Button
  2. PRESS F 9 (MENU) Button
  3. Using Multi-Control Dial, Scroll to Menu Item 710
  4. PRESS F 6 to Select
  5. PRESS F 3 and F 4 Buttons to Select Black
  6. PRESS F 9 to Set
  7. Press ALT/DELETE Button and F 1 Button at Same Time to Activate Internal Signal Generator
  8. After Recording Black, Press F 1 (Video In) to Return to Input Video

Changing Menu Settings

  1. PRESS P 1 (HOME) Button
  2. PRESS F 9 (MENU) Button
  3. Using Multi-Control Dial, Turn Clockwise to Scroll Through Menu Items
  4. At Desired Menu Item, PRESS F 6 (SELECT) to Activate
  5. PRESS F 3 and F 4 Buttons to Scroll Through Options for that Menu Item
  6. PRESS F 9 to Set

Factory Reset

  1. PRESS P 1 (HOME) Button
  2. PRESS F 9 (MENU) Button
  3. Using Multi-Control Dial, Scroll to Menu Item B 20 (Reset Setup)
  4. PRESS F 6 to Select
  5. PRESS F 3 and F 4 Buttons to Scroll Through Options and Select Factory Setting
  6. PRESS F 9 to Set
  7. Press F 10 to Exit

Changing SYSTEM FREQUENCY (HDW-M2000 Only)

  1. PRESS P 1 (HOME) Button
  2. PRESS F 9 (MENU) Button
  3. Using Multi-Control Dial, Turn Clockwise to Select Menu Item 013 (SYSTEM FREQUENCY)
  4. PRESS F 6 to Select
  5. PRESS F 4 and Set to ON
  6. PRESS F 9 to Set
  7. PRESS F 3 and F 4 Buttons to Scroll Between Frame Rates
  8. At Desired Frame Rate, Press F 9 to Set
  9. Turn VTR Off and On to Restart.
