For a major west country festival XS were, again, asked to provide editing facilities.

The HD mix was stored in an EVS XT[2] server before streaming to an Avid Unity. Avid Interplay was used to efficiently manage the data transfer to Unity.

Content was continually recorded onto the EVS and streamed into the Unity before being edited on the Avid Media Composer Nitris DXs. Up to 20 hour long sessions were cut in the suites before being transmitted back to the London Master Control Room.

Additional material is cut straight from the EVS server using IP Director.

XS have been supplying editing equipment to the TV, sport, film industry since 1993. In recent years we have worked with manufacturers and programme makers to develop file based production workflows.
